    Sugarbush
     Sugarbush was started by a set of parents whose children played within an area of trees called The Sugarbush. The couple decided to make a website and name it Sugarbush so other
    children could have a great web content. The site contains games, contests, crafts, recipes, and more.

    Heartland
     This site has a beautiful display with music and a "Magic Map" on the homepage. Just click on its many links and your child will be taken away to fun and adventure. The site has
    hours of entertainment for your children.

    SurfMonkey
     Surf Monkey is the trusted cyberspace guide and companion that helps kids (ages 6 and up) safely explore online. More than "just another kids' site", they create and integrate
    leading-edge technologies to provide a complete family of free Internet products that help kids take full advantage of the incredibly vast offerings of the web.

    Garfield
     This site is devoted Garfield the cat. There are comics, games and free e-mail. Sign up to become an
     official member of Garfield's fun club. There is also an online store to buy Garfield paraphernalia.

    Discovery Kids
     Discovery Kids is Discovery's site for children online. It contains great information in a format that is easy to for kids to browse and understand. Highly recommended site.

    Sports Illustrated for Kids
     Sports Illustrated for Kids now has a web site to accompany its magazine. SI for Kids has sports related
     content presented in a format that is perfect for children. Don't miss the interviews with sports heroes,
     games, and a whole lot more.

    Purple-Moon
     Purple-Moon is a site dedicated to young females. There are many activities such for the young girl such
     as sending postcards and entertaining games. This site is one of only a handful of good sites that are
     geared specifically to your daughters.

    American Girl
     This is another site for girls. It offers opportunities for young girls to interact  with the website by e-mail communication. Many of the girls ideas and thoughts sent via e-mail are     .
    posted on the site for others to read. A nice site with corporate sponsorship

    DC Kids
      dckids.com is DC comics site for kids on the Internet. Children can download pictures of superheroes or take quizzes about their favorite DC comic character. There is a "hero of the
    week " section that is updated with bios and pictures.

    Macscouter
     This is a fun site for kids who like to sing. It has lyrics to many common and uncommon songs. They're
     great for sitting around a campfire and roasting marshmallows.

    Kids Health
     This is the best resource for on the Internet for children's health information. A special kids section is set
     up in an easy to understand format. There are sections about coping with divorce, emotional problems,
     other ailments. There is also fun content that includes recipe lists and games.

    Draw 3D
     This site has some amazing artwork! It is truly a pleasure to the eyes. There are sections for student artwork postings as well as a large collection of the webmaster's. The site can
     teach you some amazing art techniques online and through seminars.

    The Youth Sports Network
      The Youth Sports Network aims to provide children with sporting content in a manner best suitable for
      children. The site is easy to navigate and contains instruction on sports as well as news and highlights.

     Snoopy
      Yes, even snoopy has a site. There is a large archive of comics as well as games. For anyone who
      considers themselves a Peanuts fan, this is the place to be.

      Kids Psych
       This site has a great flash screen. After going to the homepage, your child's senses will be bombarded
       with colors, sights and sounds. The sight is organized into three sections; 1-5 years old, 6-9 years old
       and for parents. The sight uses all the newest web technologies, but the experience may not be as good
       with slow connections.

     United Media
       This is another cool site to catch up on all the comics. The site features over 90 daily comics. Send postcards to friends and shop online.

     Library Spot
       This is a great reference for school work or just for curiosity. There are links to national journals,
       newspapers and other intellectual sites. LibrarySpot is a great place to start a search for a school
       project.

     Learning Planet
     This site is cool! The Learning Planet uses some of the new technology to bring your children the
       ultimate experience for the senses along with content. There are three different age levels. Each grouping
       has educational content displayed in a fun manner that will make learning fun.

     Seussville
     Seussville is a cool site that has good content to offer to your children. This site is well organized into games, contests, events and more. You can go more than one click before a Dr.
    Seuss poem pops up. Good for younger children.

     Internet Public Library
     The Internet Public Library is a great online resource for older children. It has links to thousands of sites
     with very specific information. Using ipl.org will save your children time by showing them the right path. A
     very useful site.

    Math
     This is a math site that posts a new math problem each week in two different categories: 3-4 graders, 5-6
     graders. Have your child go there each week to solve the next problem.

    Study Web
     Study Web is a comprehensive research resource with over 100,000 content  rich academic sites useful to educators and students of all levels. All sites are reviewed carefully for
     content and approximate grade level.
 
    Kid Links
     There is a large listing of links on this site spanning many different categories. This site is not only for
     kids, but also for parents and teachers.

    History Channel
      The History Channel runs a great web site that is updated daily with great content. Access audio of
      famous speeches, take quizzes, discover the past and much more. There are special sections about the
     history of the present day. A very interesting site.

     Kid's Web
      Kid's Web goal is to present students with a simple to navigate structure, and information targeted at the K-12 level. Each subject section, contains a list of links to information that
     is understandable and interesting to kids. There are also external links with more advanced topics.

    The American Century 1900-2000
     The American Century 1900-2000 is a nice site devoted to the art and culture of the twentieth century. It
     was put together by the Whitney Museum of American Art. There is a learning center and an online
     guided tour of the museum's works.

    National Geographic
     National Geographic puts its magazine online at nationalgeographic.com. There are great videos and
     pictures as well as a children's section with cool content for youngsters.

    Education Place
    Education place provides great free k-8 resources for students and parents. Check out the Math, Reading, Science and Social Studies Centers. There is a searchable activity database,
     educational games, collaborative projects, textbook support, online store and more.

    NFB
     The site was designed for children in elementary school. Through interactive games and challenging
     activities that are fun to play and presented in a colorful and professionally designed format, NFB
     stimulates children to read, write and create art that can be shared with other children around the world.

    Library of Congress
     This is the government's site for the library of congress. There are many useful services available on this
     site. One can look up books and find out great bits of information on every book ever published in the
     United States.

     ITools
      This is a cool site! Spell a word, conjugate a verb, find a quote, or locate facts about a famous person.
      Almost 30 quick reference tools all rolled into one easy-to-use site. Keep in mind, this site gets very
      busy and is often slow.

    Family Disney
     Disney's family page offers great content with an exciting display. The page  includes great educational material and fun as well. There is also an online store. Also check out
     www.disney.go.com, which is Disney's main page.

    Peter Rabbit
     At this site you can meet all the characters, hear some stories, play some very nice games, send
     animated greeting cards, and enjoy the many colorful bees and butterflies which flutter throughout the
     pages.

     Kidsource is a group of parents who want to make a positive and lasting difference in the lives of parents
     and children. They've created an online community that aims to improve, education and provide resources
     for children. Their goal is to provide knowledge and advice to help you better
     raise and educate your children.

    Warner Brother's Looney Toon
     This is Warner Brother's Looney Toon web site. There are games, animations, and you can even build
     your own Looney Toon Homepage.

    Teel Family
      This is a neat site made by a family. Each member has their own pages and
      links to their own interests. Setting up a site like this is not difficult and is often a fun and rewarding project for a family to partake in. For more info on creating your own site,

     A good site with a ton of resources to help children with their homework. Their "reference desk" has over
     30 links to helpful sites.

    Funschool
     At funschool.com, your child will find engaging educational content. All content is original and created for
     your child's learning experience. These pages are updated regularly with new
    activities and curriculum.

    College Is Possible
     Is your child in high school and looking towards higher education? If so, this is a good resource to help
     you get started to answer some questions. Of course you should speak to guidance counselors, but this
     is a good place to start.

    Meddybemps
      The goal of Meddybemps.com is to entertain children and grown-ups. You'll meet amusing characters, read original stories, and encounter some pretty humorous ideas. Meddybemp
      also provides guidance and playful activities for parents and educators to use with preschoolers.

    The Idea Box
      The Idea Box is a site updated daily with activities, crafts, recipies and more. There is a section entitled,
     "Great Idea for Today," and a monthly contest where children can win prizes. Also subscribe to the free
      monthly newsletter.

    InkSpot
     The InkSpot is a writer's resource. The section for young writers has some special features like columns
     devoted to teaching young writers techniques and style. A great site for
     children wishing to be the next John Grisham or Toni Morrison.

    PBS - Science and Exploration
      PBS's site for science and exploration is filled with cool info. Learn about past theories that turned out
      wrong. Discover scientific information on everything you wanted to know but didn't.

      Freezone.com's homepage is flashy and exciting. However, kids will also enjoy the great content that it has to offer. There is chat, advice and bulletin boards. There are also
      sections   for sports and culture. A quality site that deserves attention.

    Uncle Fred
     The site is run by "Uncle Fred" Laswell. He is a comic strip artist who decided to take his work online.
     He has been honored by the National Cartoonist Society for his work.

    Cool Math
     This site is one of the best if you are looking for math information. The site is created by "Karen" who is a
     math teacher at a community college in California. The site has tons of great stuff having to do with math.
     It may be the best math site on the net.

    Brain Pop
     Watch educational cartoons about science. They are quite interesting as well as entertaining. There are
     interactive games, activities and you can even win free prizes through participation!

    Chem4kids
      Chem4kids.com is a great site to learn about the basics of chemistry. The site teaches kids about the structure of the atom, chemical reactions and much more. It is even very
       informative to people of all ages.

    Boat Safe
     Learn everything you need to know about boating. There is even a special kids section devoted to teach
     kids the basics about everything. There is info about tying knots, taking care of a boat, and much more.
     There is even a safety course online that you can take and pass.

    Space Day
     Celebrate humankind's exploration of space. Awe-inspiring pictures, sounds, movies and shockwave
     games. Plus, there are postcards from the farthest reaches of Earth and an interactive trip to Mars.

    Exploratorium
     Learn about the science of hockey. You will learn a lot about the game itself as you are taken on a tour
     by the San Jose Sharks hockey team. Learn about the equipment, skills and more!

    The Space Telescope Science Institute
     The Space Telescope Science Institute is an exciting site that has information about space and its
     exploration. There are stunning pictures taking from space telescopes, as well a vast amount of
     information for reference.

    Volcanoes
     Have your kids stop off here to learn everything they will ever need to know about volcanoes and
     volcanology. There are lessons, pictures, and live updates about currently erupting volcanoes. You can
     even be on a mailing list that sends information on current eruptions.

    ESPN
     ESPN's homepage contains enough info to have you surfing for days! The site contains info on any sport in the world, with in depth coverage that picks up where the T.V. station
     leaves off.

    MaMaMedia
     MaMaMedia is a cool site that offers fun for children. The site uses some high end programming to bring
     a better experience. Children can customize the way the site is set up. MaMaMedia is certainly
     esthetically pleasing.

    NBA - National Basketball Association
     The National Basketball Association's site has everything anything that any sports nut would want to
     know about basketball and the NBA. Updated daily, there are highlights, stats and game stories. There
     are also interviews and up-to-date reports on everything in the league.

    Kids' Space
     Kids' Space was created to foster literacy, artistic expression, and cross-cultural understanding among
     the world's children. They engage children's minds and curiosity, stimulating learning through
     self-discovery and provide a forum for electronic communication between children.

    Lycos Zone
     Lycos Zone is a great site for kids that is organized into separate sections for easier surfing. There is a
     section for homework help and another for fun and games. Another section shows what's new on the site
     and the web.
