North Shore defensive back Bug Aymond took an unofficial visit to
Northwestern (La.) State in October – which was more like a family
reunion.

Aymond’s father, Mustang head coach David Aymond, attended
Northwestern years ago, while his mother lives in Shreveport. Aymond’s
mother, brother, three sisters all met in Nacitoches for the game against
Southeastern Louisiana.

“It’s country up there and the community really gets into football,” Aymond
said, “It was a good trip. There stadium is not that big but they had a pretty
good crowd, and the fraternities and sororities had all their signs in the end
zone.

While Northwestern State is No. 23 in the Associated Press Division I-AA
polls, Aymond has his sights set on the likes of Arizona, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Colorado and Air
Force.

Aymond has returned two punts for touchdowns and is a senior leader on Houston’s No. 1
statistically-ranked defense.
