GPISD TENNIS UPDATE
The JV and 9th Grade Yellow Jacket tennis teams competed in the District 21-4A Tournament on Wednesday, March 28th, at CE King High School to complete their FINAL tournament for the Spring Tennis Season.
The Freshman and JV boys placed 2nd OVERALL in team point standings, while the Freshman and JV girls came in 3rd place OVERALL in team point standings. In all, the Yellow Jackets brought home 15 medals----9 BRONZE medals by (Yashin Robles, Luis Rincon, Diego Diaz, David Perez, Bianca Salinas, Enrique Bailon, Karina Hernandez, Justin Dreahn, and Jeannette Rodriguez), 4 SILVER medals by (Jose Romero, Edward Hurtado, Terrance Broussard and Stephany Gutierrez), and finally, 2 GOLD medals brought home by (Cesar Garcia and Danney Rodriquez).
Congratulations to the all of the JV and Freshman boys and girls Yellow Jacket tennis teams for a TREMENDOUS showing at their district meet, and for having an OUTSTANDING end to a GREAT season. Great job JACKETS!!!
