Contingency Plan Part I:
- Staff members not returning to campus will have their award forwarded to the address left on file with the campus.
- Staff members who are shared with another campus will receive the full amount allocated.
- Staff members, who are out on medical leave, will be excused from committee meetings while out on leave.
- Allocated money that is designated for each area and that is not paid out due to team / teacher failure to reach their required performance level will be divided equally among the teachers who did meet the performance level for that criterion but not to exceed $10,000.
Additional funds that exceed the $10,000 cap will be distributed equally among the staff that performs.
***According to the Commissioner’s rules concerning the Governor’s Educator Excellence Award program each individual incentive should be no less than $3,000 and no more than $10,000 per teacher to the extent practicable. Due to our campus staff size of certified teachers who teach students daily in an academic setting that exceeds 4 hours, an award of $3,000 to $10,000 is not practicable for our campus because it would exclude over 50% of our eligible staff.
Part II: Funds under Part II (no more than 25% of the total grant allocation) may be used to award personnel who have contributed to increase student achievement (but are not eligible for Part I Funds).
