TMSCA

Seven Cobb students traveled to San Antonio to compete in the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association State Meet.  Chazz Brion placed 23rd, Francis Sampson 24th, and Janet Goode 28th in calculator, all making the the top 20's. Adan Cerda, Noberto Leoncio, Xavier Gomez, and Luis Perez took either general math or science and did not place. Their scores placed them in the lower 50's and 40's. These students take the same tests as 7th and 8th graders and are required to learn how to work algebra, geometry, and trigonometry problems. They compete against private, home-schooled, and academies that focus on math & science or have classes that focus on these special areas.
A big congratulations to these hard workers!

Students who qualify for spirit day on Fridays will be allowed to wear a Cobb spirit shirt with uniform bottoms. On the last Friday of each month, those students who qualify, will be allowed to wear BLUE jeans with their spirit shirt. NO SKINNY JEANS OR OTHER COLORED JEANS, INCLUDING BLACK JEANS, WILL BE ALLOWED AND STUDENTS WILL RECIEVE A CONSEQUENCE FOR BEING OUT OF DRESS CODE.

No Student Release After 2:45 pm

We will be enforcing our policy of "No Early Release" for students. No student will be released after 2:45pm. When students leave early it is a disruption to the whole class and we need all of teaching time to prepare all of our students.
