Wellness Plan

Galena Park I.S.D. shall prepare, adopt, and implement a comprehensive plan to encourage healthy eating and physical activity. This environment will prepare students to become healthy, productive citizens and supporters of life long healthy habits.

Immunization Records

If your child has any recent immunizations since turning 11, please send shot records to Nurse Kellogg so she can update the school's records. All students need the following shots before they can begin 7th grade (mandatory):

  • Varicella
  • MCV4
  • Tdap

No Student Release After 2:55 pm

We will be enforcing our policy of "No Early Release" for students. No student will be released between 2:55 pm and the end of the school day at 3:45 pm. When students leave early it is a disruption to the whole class and we need all of teaching time to prepare all of our students.
