Fox 26 News & Mr. Culpepper

Making a Difference @GPHS

Recently, Gregory Culpepper, Galena Park's Fatherhood Specialist took two teen dad's to Fox 26 to see the inner workings of a news station. Jose Patino and Dean Rosales were overwhelmed with excitement as they discovered that technology has taken over the industry in ways that they could not have ever imagined. This also exposes them to future job possibilities both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

Howard Dorsey, Assistant News Director was extremely passionate about wanting to get to know these two young men. He sat down with them both encouraging them to continue to push forward toward their dreams and goals. Mr. Dorsey said, "You can do anything you set your mind to!" Mr. Dorsey stressed the importance of discipline and control. "You are in charge of your life, don't let anyone let you get off track!!"

The boys were able to discuss and interview several of the news anchors like Melissa Wilson, Rita Garcia and Jose Grinan . Jose Grinan also expressed the benefits and importance of having a dual language in the work place.
