Contingency Plan – PART I:
· Incentive must only be awarded to teachers who meet both Criterion 1 and Criterion 2
· Part I funds not awarded will be re-distributed equally among Part I teachers who met the required plan criteria (both #1 and #2) within those teacher’s department/s until all remaining funds are distributed. (Example: The science department does not meet its goal, so the money that would have gone to those 14 teachers will be re-distributed equally to the other departments who did meet their goals)
· Teachers who meet the criteria must be employed at GPHS at the time funds are distributed. Funds that would have been rewarded to said teachers will be distributed equally to all teachers within those teacher’s department/s who met the criteria and are still employed at GPHS
** “According to the Commissioner’s rules concerning the Governor’s Educator Excellence Award program each individual incentive should be no less than $3000.00 and no more than $10,000 per teacher to the extent practical”
Due to the fact that we have a high number of teachers in the four core areas it was not possible to give each a full $3000.00 without going over the funding available.
PART II: 25% - Incentive plan for staff members not eligible under Part I
Funds: (25%): $52,500 - $10,500 (5% deducted to central administration)
= $42,000 for campus staff.
