Team KAOS robotics continues its outreach efforts by maintaining strong communication with the community and the media.

In 2008, Team KAOS was involved in the introduction of Houston Early Robotics in our local primary schools where the students will compete in LEGO tournaments.

In 2008, Team KAOS, along with our sponsor GE Volunteers; have participated in one of the most anticipated events we have ever undertaken: The Adopt-A-Floor program at Texas Childress’s Hospital.

The kidney dialysis patient’s floor was chosen.

The children were introduced to LEGO robots by the team.

Approximately 150 patients are involved.

The team mentors the patients while they are on the dialysis machines.

In 2008, Team KAOS has also introduced the ‘Go Green’ concept to our school. We have created a video promoting recycling and showing young minds how they can help the environment.

In 2007, Team KAOS created Mini Engineering Camps, designed to introduce elementary and intermediate students to science, engineering and technology.

In 2006, Team KAOS got involved with the Life Skills class at our school. This class includes students with limits on senses, such as blindness and deafness. The team undertook a project where we constructed and gave special stations to the Life Skills program, that could stimulate their senses using lights, sounds, or textured surfaces.
