For more than 60 years, GPHS has maintained a tradition of quality scholastic journalism.  Beginning in 1941, with the publication of the first yearbook the department has evolved and matured. 

Today, the yearbook has been in continuous publication since 1946 and the school newspaper has been printing for most of that time under a variety of nameplates including the Golden Gazette, the Yellowjacket, the Black and Gold Times and currently as the Buzz News Magazine. 

This year, the journalism department has gone digital.  JACKET-TV in its fifth season put every episode online as well as on-air.
