Dear Galena Park Families,

I am very excited to join the staff at Galena Park Middle School as the newly appointed principal and to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of education and success!  I have been devoted to the field of education for more than thirteen years and have served in Galena Park ISD as a teacher, assistant principal and principal.  My most recent administrative experience was at Woodland Acres Middle School where I was the principal for the last four years.  I am excited and ready to bring my skills as an educational leader to Galena Park Middle School and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child's success.

Together with the teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Galena Park Middle School by building strong relationships with parents, students and community partners.  We will focus on character education initiatives, academic skills, the use data-driven instruction, and providing consistent implementation of the curriculum in a rigorous manner to increase student achievement.

The entire staff of Galena Park Middle School is eager and excited to begin what promises to be an amazing year.  We will continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help build relationships while making real-world connections.  As your principal, it is imperative to me that everyone who steps through our doors, whether it be teachers, students or parents, is excited to be here!  This attitude will empower us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.  My door is open and I welcome your input.

I look forward to working with you as a team to help each student at Galena Park Middle meet their goals and have an amazing school year.  Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year at 832-386-1704- lramirez@galenaparkisd.com.

Sincerely,

Lee Ramirez
