The technology mission of GPISD is to integrate technology in a way that the educational program for all children in the district will encourage problem-solving, exploration and learning in the classroom; provide student-centered learning; provide access to technology for all students and staff; provide for both current and future needs; restructure the learning environment; encourage communication; complement current key teaching strategies; and implement a comprehensive information system.

Technology Department Events

GPISD Multimedia Festival is an event held annually that strongly encourages project-based learning and meaningful student creations in media and multimedia.  This event showcases the exceptional talents of our students in grades K -12 and provides them the opportunity to compete at the district level in the field of technology.

Cyber Camp 2011 is a technology camp for students in grades 2-5 for the 2010-2011 school year.  This year's camp will focus on video production.  Cyber Camp will be offered twice, one on the south side of the district at Woodland Acres Elementary and one on the north side of the district at Sam Houston Elementary.  For further details and registration instructions click your preferred language.  English   Spanish
