Aerospace Science Instructor, Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC), North Shore High School, Houston, TX.  Born and raised in Tyler, TX, Major Young-Jackson graduated from John Tyler High School.  After graduating Texas Christian University and a short teaching assignment in Fort Worth, TX, she joined the officer ranks of the military.   Major Young-Jackson retired from the United States Air Force after successful assignments in Texas, Illinois, Mississippi, California, Florida, Nevada, and Italy.  She is highly decorated, receiving many awards, recognitions and ribbons during her service commitment. 

Upon her military retirement in 1996, she was commissioned by the Air Force to join a team of   nine Military Instructors to teach JROTC at Hollywood High School in Hollywood, CA.  After just one year, she was selected to implement a new unit at St. Anthony High School in Long Beach, CA.   After 2 very successful years, she returned to her home state of Texas and accepted a JROTC position at North Shore High School in Houston, TX.

Major Young-Jackson is married to TSgt. Thomas Jackson, USAF (Retired).  They have 4 sons, Marcus (wife Makita and daughter Yazi), Byron (wife Mykedria and daughter Mya), Thomas II, and Richard.
