Track teams take off!

         The NSMS boys and girls track team achieved much this year . The seventh grade boys and eight grade girls were named District Champions. Darvelia Lazaro said “although I got 6th place the important thing was that I enjoyed it very much.” Darvelia also expressed that, “the person who motivated me the most was my mom.”  “They would practice everyday in the morning to get better,” explained coach Wait. Raquel Simms stated that “What I like about track is that every time I run I get better at it.” April Amaya stated “The REAL competition was the other team.” “Our track teams were spectacular this year, we had girls who weren’t in it last year that got up to 1st place this year” explained Coach Wait.
