Education Awarded to Mr. Burke

Mr. Burke was surprised on March 27th with cake, flowers, balloons, and a check for $1,000.00 Burke was selected as one of the eight finalists in the H-E-B Rising Star for teachers. If he is named a state wide winner on May 7, Burke and  NSM will receive a check for $5,000.00 To win this award you have to be nominated by someone a teacher, AP, principal etc. This is Burke’s 10th year teaching. “This isn’t my only award I’ve won too many to tell really, and with that $1,000.00 check I will pay bills. I was also very surprised when I won.”
