Science is out of this world!!

The North Shore Middle School Science Fair had a total of 200 entered projects in the categories: biology, environmental science, chemistry, and physics. Johnny Chatman, 7th grade 2nd place winner in Biology, said, “I thought overall the science fair went well, even though I didn’t think I was going to win. I did my project on “How does the temperature affect the browning of the bananas?” “I did my project on ‘Does background color effect your memory?’” said Ricky Mullins, 7th grade 1st place Biology winner. “It took me about 3 days to finish [my project]. I got my idea from my teacher Ms. Walton,” said Mullins. The winners of the science fair were:

The teachers with the most student participants were 7th grade teacher, Ms. Walton with 8 winners. Ms. Smith had 6 winners from her class. 8th grade teacher, Ms. Sullen had 7 winners, while Coach Eckford’s class produced 6 winners.
