Wait Honored as Teacher of the Year

NSMS is flying in a teacher of the year!!!! Coach Wait is the 2007 Teacher of the Year. She has been teaching for 13 years, though she stated that she has only worked for 3 years at North Shore Middle School, as the coach for the 8th grade volleyball, basketball, track, and athletics. She is also in charged of the James Brown Memorial Trail. “I feel blessed, honored, and most likely overwhelmed being Teacher of the Year,” explained Coach Wait. “I’ve never won anything like this before, but I’ve won a Dazzling Diamond Award,” joked Coach Wait.

On May 3, 2007, Coach Wait was honored as Galena Park ISD District Teacher of the Year!  She now advances to the competiton for Region IV Teacher of the Year which will be announced in the fall.
