“You never know what you can do until you try” has always been my motto inside and outside of the classroom. I was raised by a single mother, and am the first and only to graduate from college. That is a major accomplishment! I have never known my father, but I know that parent relationships are important.
I have always wanted to be a teacher from the time I was a little girl. I actually started off working in Head Start and daycares. I began officially teaching in 2007, after a year of internship here at Pyburn Elementary. I started off teaching 4 years in Kinder, but then was moved to 2nd grade, which is where I have been ever since. My 2nd grade team makes everything amazing!
My other love is my family. I have a wonderful husband of 18 years. He is currently battling Leukemia (cancer), but stays strong for our family. We have three beautiful daughters, and an adorable 2 year old grandson. My oldest daughter is Abigail, she is 20 years old, and is currently fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (cancer). Abigail loves to go fishing. My middle daughter, Destiny, is 17 years old, she is a Senior in high school, and will be leaving for the Army June 28th. My youngest daughter, Savannah, is 15 years old, and she loves to dance. We love to go camping, hiking, and we love to watch movies together.
Without my Pyburn family, I am not sure how I would survive. You are my rock, and I am very blessed to have each and every one of you in my life.
Way to go, Mrs. Ead!!!!
