The mission of the Galena Park Independent School District is to prepare students to become productive citizens and lifelong learners.
The mission of the Galena Park ISD Mathematics Department is to provide our students with an educational experience in mathematics that affords them with the knowledge and skills to be productive, successful and fulfilled citizens.
We feel that by engaging our students in exciting lessons that explore and incorporate higher level thinking skills we can assure success for all of our students.

Purpose Statement
To support this mission we will be committed to providing strong professional development and a well balanced, up-to-date curriculum that incorporates real world connections and technology. We will also present curriculum in a variety of teaching styles and techniques to reach all forms of student learning. Students will be challenged to develop skills in analysis, reasoning, creativity, and collaborative learning as they gain knowledge of mathematics. We will maintain high academic and behavioral expectations to make every classroom minute count and to direct students to their full potential.
