The Galena Park ISD Dyslexia Program is designed to provide reading intervention for children who meet screening criteria for dyslexia. Intervention services are offered to qualifying students in grades K-12.
These services provide the students with the skills and strategies to improve their decoding skills and to improve reading reading fluency and comprehension.
Pursuant to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the District has a duty to identify, refer, evaluate and if eligible, provide a free, appropriate public education to disabled students.
