Super Spelling Bee Participants Showcase Talent

Houston, Texas: The GPISD Language Arts Department hosted the annual District Spelling Bee competition where each elementary and middle school was represented by each campuses' top spelling champion. Students who participated in the District Spelling Bee have been practicing for several months to prepare for the contest.  

The 2014 GPISD Spelling Bee winner was Cobb Sixth Grade Campus's Sena Ahadzie. Sena will now represent the District at the HoustonPBS Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00 am on the campus of the University of Houston. The live television broadcast will begin at 2:00pm. 

Help cheer Sena on to victory since the top two spellers of the HoustonPBS Spelling Bee will advance to the 2014 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
