Students Inducted Into National Technical Honor Society
Houston, Texas: On Thursday, January 22, 2015, more than 100 juniors and seniors from Galena Park and North Shore Senior High Schools were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during the induction ceremony at North Shore Senior High School. NTHS strives to groom students who attain higher scholastic achievement and cultivate a desire for personal excellence. In becoming a member of NTHS, students gain an edge in finding success in today's highly competitive workplace.
To be accepted in the honor society, students must be recommended by a Career and Technical Education (CTE) instructor and meet the following criteria: excellent attendance; no discipline issues; maintain a 3.0 overall GPA; and maintain a 4.0 GPA in all CTE courses. CTE courses cover a wide range of topics and career paths, including: agriculture; architecture; business; finance; hospitality; information technology; law enforcement; transportation and more.
