Former Lady Mustang Signs with Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA
Houston, Texas: Former Texas A&M forward/guard Courtney Williams was signed by the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx on April 21, 2016. The Lynx won the 2015 WNBA Finals, and are the league's defending champions. Upon graduating from North Shore Senior High School in 2012, Williams played for Texas A&M where she averaged 12.5 points and 48 rebounds in her senior year. She was also named Second Team All-SEC by the league's coaches for the third consecutive season. Courtney finished her collegiate career with the Aggies, ranked fourth among active SEC players in career points, third in field goals made and seventh in rebounds. She finished with career averages of 11.6 points and 4.7 rebounds. We wish Courtney the best of luck on her newest endeavor.
