University Awards $128,000 in Scholarships to Culinary Arts Students

Houston, Texas: Johnson & Wales University, a globally renowned leader in culinary education with campuses in Providence, Rhode Island; Miami, Florida; Denver, Colorado; and Charlotte, North Carolina recently awarded Galena Park High School culinary arts students with $128,000 in scholarships. Rita Perez received $40,000 to pursue a bachelor of science degree in Baking and Pastry, and Christian Cardenas will seek a Bachelor of Culinary Arts with the $44,000 he was awarded; both students will attend the Denver, Colorado campus. Christian Meza will attend Johnson & Wales University in Miami, Florida. He plans to obtain a bachelor of science in Business Administration and International Business with his $44,000 in scholarships. Chef Vasso is elated each student was not only accepted to this prestigious culinary program, but also awarded a substantial scholarship to help pursue their career goal.
