North Shore Football Team, Student Body Gives Back

Houston, Texas: Beyond reading, writing, math, science, social studies, economics, and the other topics studied at school, part of the education process in Galena Park ISD is personal growth. Coach Steve Lewis challenged the North Shore Mustang football team to collect money to raise much-needed funds for the North Channel Assistance Ministries (NCAM) for the holiday season. North Channel Assistance Ministries has helped countless people in our community throughout the years, including the families of our students and athletes. The Mustangs took on this challenge with vigor, collecting $1,008 from the student body and organizations. Just before the holiday break; Coach Lewis took a group of football players to NCAM to present their benevolent donation. Coach Lewis contends it was, without a doubt, “the proudest moment of this entire football season.”
