Cobb 6th Grade Campus Named a “Top School in Houston”
Houston, Texas: Galena Park ISD is delighted to announce that Dr. Gerald D. Cobb 6th Grade Campus has been recognized by the Children at Risk organization as a Gold Ribbon Neighborhood Middle School. This prestigious honor is awarded to schools based on research and analysis of 303 middle schools in the greater Houston area. In ranking these schools, researchers analyzed STAAR performance and average Reading and Math gains and losses, and adjusted for the percentage of economically disadvantaged students at each campus. In particular, Gold Ribbon Neighborhood Schools are schools that are neither a charter nor magnet school, have a high concentration of economically disadvantaged students, and rank highest on the overall rankings.
