North Shore Student Named National Gold Key Winner

Houston, Texas: North Shore 9th Grade Campus student Autumn McMillan has been named a National Gold Key winner in the Scholastic Writing Competition. She is one of only 36 Gold Key winners from Texas. Just to put it in perspective, Harris County alone had 2,100 writing entries, so just imagine how many students entered across the state! Former National Scholastic Gold Key winners include Sylvia Plath, Truman Capote, Joyce Carol Oates, Zac Posen, Robert Redford, Lena Dunham and Ken Burns.

The Scholastic National Gold Key Awards Ceremony is to be held at Carnegie Hall on June 2nd.
