Mustangs Wrangle Longhorns
Houston, Texas: The streak of consecutive victories against the Dobie Longhorns in the first round of the playoffs now stands at five, defeating the Longhorns decisively 52-17. Early in the game it was apparent that Dobie came to play as they led the Mustangs 10-0 at the end of the first quarter; however, once things started rolling the Mustangs way, there was no looking back. North Shore scored 45 unanswered points to take a convincing lead, starting with a 37-yard touchdown run by quarterback Maciah Long early in the second quarter. The Mustangs scored three more touchdowns before half time, a nine yard run from Long, a 30 yard run from Carl Guillory, and a 32 yard catch and run by Ralph Davis. North Shore scored 17 more points in the third quarter and added seven more in the fourth, holding Dobie to just one touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Next up: the Mustangs take on Clear Springs Friday, November 20 at 7:00 PM. The game will be held at Clear Creek ISD Stadium located at 2305 East Main Street -- League City, Texas 77573. Pre-sale tickets are $6 for students and $8 for adults. Tickets at the gate will be $10.
