Galena Park ISD Schools Celebrate Red Ribbon Week

Houston, Texas: Last week, students and faculty at Galena Park ISD schools participated in a nationwide program that helps educate young people about the dangers and effects of using drugs and alcohol known as Red Ribbon Week.

Throughout the week, students, teachers and administrators at each campus participated in a number of engaging and interactive activities aimed at promoting drug awareness. They wore their favorite team's jersey as they decided to “team up against drugs,” or they wore crazy socks to remind everyone to “sock it to drugs.” There were many more activities, all designed to educate students on the dangers of drugs and the benefits of healthy living.
