North Shore Band Advances to State Competition

Houston, Texas: On October 29, the North Shore Senior High School Band competed in the UIL Area F Marching Band Contest at the GPISD Stadium. The NSSHS marching band gave a stellar performance and qualified for the finals by placing 1st overall out of the 29 participating schools. They will now compete at the UIL State Marching Band Contest at the Alamodome on Tuesday, November 8th at 6:00 p.m.

This Saturday, GPISD will host a community performance and send-off pep rally for the North Shore band at the GPISD Stadium on Wallisville Rd. The pep rally will start at 7:15 p.m. and is free for everyone! We invite all community members to come out to support the band as they get ready to compete in San Antonio.

Congratulations to the North Shore Senior High School marching band! The band is under the direction of Shane Goforth.  The assistant directors are John Reed and Clay Jasper, and the color guard instructor is Bucky Flores.
