Woodland Acres March Against Drugs
Houston, Texas: On October 27, Woodland Acres Elementary and Middle School joined the community for the 12th Annual March Against Drugs to promote unity against drug abuse and encourage a drug-free lifestyle.
The annual event, initiated in 2004, showed the strong commitment of all involved and culminated with both schools hosting a rally in the gymnasium. This year’s rally at the elementary school featured Houston Texans mascot, Toro! Next door at the middle school, the students heard stories from several administrators on the campus, and the event concluded with a strong message from The Byke Project, a non-profit organization that steers young kids in the right direction.
