GPISD Teacher Receives Prestigious ASE Award
Houston, Texas: On July 19th, 2016, Mr. Jimmy Ornelas received the prestigious ASE Industry Education Alliance Instructor Recognition Award. This honor is awarded to a select few Career and Technical Education (CTE) automotive instructors who are committed to continuously improving their program by providing students with meaningful work-based learning assignments at dealerships. These paid internships prepare students for lifelong careers in the automotive industry. The instructor must attend instructor training throughout the year and maintain the program’s NATEF accreditation. In addition, recipients of the ASE Industry Education Alliance Instructor Recognition Award must be ASE-Certified Master technicians with at least five years teaching experience.
