NORTH CHANNEL ROC DONATES SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO GALENA PARK ISD

Five hundred Galena Park ISD students recently started the 2006-2007 school year with new school supplies, thanks to a generous donation from the North Channel Renewing Our Community (ROC) organization.
North Channel ROC has long supported area school districts and is the same organization that, in conjunction with CityFest Houston, also provided school children with breakfast and lunch during the summer.
“We are extremely grateful for the support we have received from North Channel ROC,” said Dr. Mark Henry, superintendent of schools. “The organization is very dedicated to improving the life of those that live in the North Channel area, as is evidenced by their continued support of Galena Park ISD through the donation of the school supplies and providing the meals for students during the summer months.”
North Channel ROC is a non-denominational organization comprised of local pastors who are united together to make a difference in the community.
