GALENA PARK HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT HONORED AT FEBRUARY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LUNCHEON



            Daniel Quiroga, a senior at Galena Park High School, was recognized as the Galena Park ISD Student of the Month during the Feb. 2 North Area Channel Chamber of Commerce luncheon in the Monument Room of San Jacinto College North.
            Quiroga was recently named to the All-State Band for the second consecutive year. He is one of only five baritones in the state 4A competition to qualify. In addition to practicing after school every day of the week, Quiroga finds the time to work at a local pizza restaurant.
            Quiroga will leave for Denver, Colorado immediately following his high school graduation to take part in the Blue Knights –the prestigious drum and bugle corps and he will participate in a tour of nation following his two to three weeks of training. He will then report to the Marine Corps upon completion of the musical tour.
