Galena Park ISD to cover Super Bowl XXXVIII
for a national magazine
Samantha Hill, a fifth grade student at Cimarron Elementary School in Galena Park ISD, has been selected as a Kid Correspondent for Weekly Reader magazine. Samantha will give students across the country a kid's-eye view of the Super Bowl. For the seventh year, the Weekly Reader – the top newsmagazine for kids – will send a student to interview players during Media Day on Tues., January 27. During the big game on February 1, Samantha will cover the Super Bowl activities from the press box. Her reports will be posted at www.weeklyreader.com/superbowl .
During Media Day, Samantha will also be available to give interviews about what it is like to be youngest reporter on the Super Bowl beat. Samantha's participation as a reporter during the Super Bowl is part of Weekly Reader's Field Trip program. The program allows Samantha to experience what it is like to be a journalist.
