Jeff Miller, president of the Board of Trustees, honored Dr. Mark Henry, superintendent of schools, for being elected as chairman of the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Legislative Council. Dr. Henry served as the Region III 4A representative from 2000-2004 when he was in Sulphur Springs ISD and became the Region III 5A representative in 2005. He also serves on the Region IV Educational Service Center Regional Advisory Executive Committee and has been a member of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) Board of Trustees since 2004. He currently serves as chairman of the TRS audit committee and as a member of the TRS benefits committee.
