New Administrators Recognized



            Ten new Galena Park ISD administrators were recognized by Dr. Mark Henry, superintendent of schools, and June Harris, member of the Board of Trustees, during the Sept. 10 Board meeting.
            Sandra Andrade, former bilingual/ESL teacher in Pasadena ISD, was recognized as a new assistant principal at Cunningham Middle School. Andrade has 12 years of experience in education.
            Dr. Stacy Daugherty, who recently served as the coordinator of testing, was introduced as the new director of testing.  Dr. Daugherty has eight years of experience in education.
            Maryland Hendrix, former executive director of special programs, was recognized as the assistant superintendent of curriculum and special programs. Hendrix has 34 years of experience in education.
            Brian Keil, who recently served as an assistant principal in Lake Travis ISD, was introduced as a new assistant principal at Cobb Sixth Grade Campus. Keil has five years of experience in education.
            Steve Kinney, former director of math and science, was recognized as the new principal at Galena Park High School. Kinney has 25 years of experience in education.
            Alicia Miranda, who recently served as interim administrator at Cloverleaf Elementary School, was introduced as the new assistant principal at Cloverleaf.  Miranda has six years of experience in education.
            Grace Nickerson, former government teacher at North Shore Senior High School, was recognized as a new assistant principal at North Shore High School. Nickerson has four years of experience in education.
            Stephanie Perry was introduced as a new assistant principal at Cimarron Elementary School. Perry previously served as a teacher at Cimarron. Perry has eight years of experience in education.
            Sandra Rios, former counselor at Woodland Acres Middle School, was introduced as a new assistant principal at North Shore Middle School. Rios has four years of experience in education.
