Galena Park High School athletes sign letters of intent on
National Signing Day

            Lester Bush, left, played both tailback and fullback for the Jackets. He signed his letter-of-intent with Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is a three-year letterman and was named to the All-District 21-4A team three times. Lester also lettered in track and field and was named to the Academic All-District football team. He averaged 8.5 yards per carry during the 2007 season and rushed for 1,060 and 14 touchdowns in only seven games.
            Tony Morales, third from left, signed with Prairie View A&M University.  Tony was named to the All-District team twice and was the only offensive lineman in the district to be a unanimous first team selection in 2007. He was also named to the Academic All-District football team. Tony is a two-year letterman in football and track.
           Gahn McGaffie, right, is a four-year letterman who played quarterback and wide receiver. He signed his letter-of-intent with the University of Missouri. Gahn was named as a first-team All-District selection all four years and was twice named District 21-4A Player of the Year. Gahn ran, passed or caught the ball a combined 830 times during his career for a total of 5,683 yards and 58 touchdowns. He also played basketball and track and was named to the Academic All-District football team. Gahn is a Houston Chronicle state top 100 player and was twice selected as the paper’s Male High School Athlete of the week during the 2007 season.
