New Administrators Introduced at Board Meeting


         New principals, assistant principals and administrators were introduced during the Aug. 10 Board of Trustees meeting.
         Julissa Alcantar-Martinez, former principal at Cobb Sixth Grade Campus, was introduced as principal at Woodland Acres Middle School. She has 10 years of experience in education. Christopher Blake, former assistant principal at Galena Park Middle School, was introduced as principal at Galena Park Middle School. He has nine years of experience in education.
         Aneka VanCourt, former assistant principal at Galena Park Middle School, was introduced as principal at Cobb Sixth Grade Campus. She has 12 years of experience in education. Gloria Vasquez, former assistant principal at Cimarron Elementary School, was introduced as principal at Woodland Acres Elementary School. She has nine years of experience in education.
         Irene Benzor, former instructional specialist at Purple Sage Elementary, was introduced as assistant principal at Cimarron Elementary School. She has six years of experience in education. Myra Castandeda, former language arts teacher in Weslaco ISD, was introduced as assistant principal at North Shore Middle School. She has seven years of experience in education.
         Gerardo Ramirez, former assistant principal in Dickinson ISD, was introduced as assistant principal at Cobb Sixth Grade Campus. He has eight years of experience in education. Estella Sanchez, former assistant principal at Cobb Sixth Grade Campus, was introduced as assistant principal at Woodland Acres Middle School. She has seven years of experience in education.
         Sheree Walker, former teacher at Cunningham Middle School, was introduced as assistant principal at Galena Park Middle School. She has four years of experience in education. Rebecca Hampton, former coordinator of Bilingual/ESL education, was introduced as program director of Bilingual/ESL education. She has nine years of experience in education.
         Dr. Carol Booth, former program director of special programs, was introduced as director of special education. Dr. Booth has 18 years of experience in education. Sam Harris, former program director for fine arts, was introduced as director of academic enrichment and fine arts. He has 23 years of experience in education.
         Joel Leal, former instructional specialist at Green Valley Elementary, was introduced as assistant principal at Cobb Sixth Grade Campus. Leal has six years of experience in education. Tony Mayeux, former principal at Galena Park Middle School, was introduced as director of foundations. He has 22 years of experience in education.
          Jacqueline Moreno, former elementary math specialist, was introduced as program director for mathematics. She has 13 years of experience in education.
