Hopkins, White, Aymond Honored at Board Meeting

North Shore head football coach David Aymond and athletes Trey Hopkins and DeAndrew White were honored at the Jan. 11 Board Meeting.
Hopkins and White were recognized for being selected for the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl in the Alamodome in San Antonio. Aymond was chosen to coach in the game and participated in the U.S. Army Coaches Academy, which is an elite two-day learning experience featuring NFL and NCAA coaches.
The game was shown live on NBC and featured the nation’s top 90 high school players. For 10 years, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has been the nation’s premier high school football game, serving as the preeminent launching pad for America’s future college and NFL stars. Adrian Peterson, Reggie Bush, Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, and Vince Young all made their national debuts as U.S. Army All-Americans.
Hopkins was honored earlier in the meeting for being named the Greater Houston Area Offensive Player of the Year by the Touchdown Club of Houston.
