Centeno Honored at Chamber Luncheon

Stephanie Centeno, a senior at Galena Park High School, was recognized as the Galena Park ISD Student of the Month during the March 6 North Channel Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon in the Monument Room of San Jacinto College North.
Centeno is a member of the National Honor Society and is ranked 48th in her graduating class of 386. She has been involved in Color Guard and Winter Guard throughout her high school career. She is also a member of the Pride team – an anti-drug awareness program, and the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) that is trained in First Aid.
Centeno is also a member of the French Club, Criminal Justice Club and the Mademoiselles organization. Her involvement with the Mademoiselles extends to community service as she assists with the donations and delivery of food baskets during the holidays.
Centeno plans to major in psychology at the University of Houston – Main Campus and obtain her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree, before applying to a Ph.D. program.  Her goal is to complete a Ph. D. and work in a clinical setting as a psychologist. She would like to open her own private practice.
