Congressman Gene Green visits Tice Elementary

United States Congressman Gene Green recently visited Tice Elementary and presented a framed Congressional Record to the staff. The Congressional Record honored Tice Elementary for being named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.
Tice Elementary is one of only 314 public and private schools in the nation that were named Blue Ribbon Schools. Tice Elementary has also earned an Exemplary rating in the state’s accountability system for the past 10 years.
Congressman Green also presented an American flag that had flown over the U.S. Capitol Building to Judy Holbrook, principal at Tice.  Green also took the time to read “House Mouse, Senate Mouse” to Tice students and presented the book, signed by Green and authors Peter W. Barnes and Cheryl Shaw Barnes, to the campus.
