GOLD Leadership Circle Awarded to GPISD

       For the second year in a row, Galena Park ISD has been awarded a GOLD Leadership Circle Award by the Texas Comptroller. This award recognizes school districts for implementing financial transparency. The Gold designation indicates that the district is innovative and trend setting in their transparency efforts.

       Mike Ball, Galena Park ISD Chief Financial Officer, commented, “We are pleased that the work of District personnel has earned the Comptroller's GOLD Leadership Circle Award. This award recognizes the hard work of the District staff and the commitment of our Superintendent and Board of Trustees to transparency. This distinction is a part of our ongoing efforts to serve as good stewards of the public resources with which we are entrusted.”

       Dr. Angi Williams, Superintendent of Schools, stated, “I’m so proud to work with individuals with such knowledge and foresight. Our district is blessed to have such an outstanding financial department.”
