It's Not Too Late to Get Vaccinated |
EVENT:
According to Dr. Anne Schuchat, Director, National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), “flu season typically peaks in January or February and can last as late as May.” Along with the miserable symptoms that accompanies the flu, most people who contract the virus are forced to take time off school or work. Anybody can get the flu, but young children are more susceptible to flu-related complications such as pneumonia. These complications can result in extended periods of missed productivity. In an effort to keep students in school, healthy and learning, Galena Park ISD is partnering with Care Van Program to bring FREE vaccinations to all children 6 months thru 18 years old. Children must be accompanied by a parent. |
