Spring Signing Celebration in Galena Park ISD

          Congratulations to the three Galena Park High School and eleven North Shore High School athletes who were honored at the 2011 Spring Signing Day on May 26. Athletes signed scholarships for baseball, basketball, soccer, swimming, track, and volleyball. Athletic Director for Galena Park ISD Ed Warken noted that over the last 20 years, Galena Park athletes have earned 70 scholarships, and North Shore athletes have received 350 scholarships. That is 420 athletic scholarships over the past 20 years, averaging 21 scholarships per year for Galena Park ISD athletes. This is another impressive group of athletes who Galena Park ISD community members can be proud of. It should be exciting to continue to follow their athletic achievements throughout college.
