Congressman Gene Green Visits Local Campus

[Houston, TX] Representative Gene Green, D, 29th Congressional District of Texas, spoke to students and faculty at North Shore Senior High School on Friday, March 23. He discussed the importance of voting and encouraged students to register to vote. He stressed that he wasn’t concerned with who they voted for, but indicated our democracy works best when a majority of voters cast their ballots. In town hall fashion, students were able to ask their representative questions. He answered each one with openness and conviction.

Tables were set up so students could conveniently register to vote before going back to class.
