Voters Elect for No Change

          Galena Park ISD voters reelected incumbents Wilfred J. Broussard, Jr., June Harris, and Dawn Fisher to the GPISD Board of Trustees on Saturday, May 14, 2011. Harris, who is currently serving as Board President, defeated Charles Russell in the Position 6 race. Harris finished with a total of 351 votes while Russell had 202. This was the only contested race. Broussard, who is currently the Board Vice-president, ran uncontested for Position 5. He received 425 votes. Fisher also ran uncontested and received 437 votes to maintain her hold on position 7.
