In December 2025, the North Shore Senior High (NSSH) band earned a milestone that cements its place among the nation’s elite music programs. The program was honored with the Earl D. Irons Program of Distinction award — a rare accolade recognizing ensembles thatcombine superior musical achievement, moral integrity, and a commitment to the international advancement of band music. Band Director Shane Goforth traveled to Chicago to accept the award on the band’s behalf.

Galena Park ISD is pleased to share that we will participate in CenterPoint Energy’s Winter Commercial Load Management Program for the 2025-26 season. This initiative helps support energy conservation during periods of high demand on the Texas electric grid, contributing to our community’s reliability and sustainability efforts.

Please join the fun — cast your vote today and once per day through January 21st at 1:00 p.m. to support North Shore football players Isaac Aranda and Jaylen Fields for consideration on the Texas HS Football Fan Vote 2025 All‑Texas Team (6A Offensive Lineman).
Winners for each position will be featured in the Texas HS Football Magazine (multiple winners per position). The winner of each poll, plus the next five highest vote‑getters in each division, will advance to that division’s Player of the Year poll.

The parade will begin on HollyPark Dr. in front of Joyce Zotz Education Center @ 4:45 PM. It will travel down Freeport to Evanston, ending at North Shore Senior High School.
