  • COVID-19 Vaccination Sign Up

    Legacy Community Health is providing Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations to any community member 16 years of age and older!Appointments will be available every Saturday, beginning April 17th from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Legacy Clinic located at North Shore Senior High School (Clinic Entrance on Mustang Drive). Vaccines are being provided at no direct cost to the individual.

  • Pre-K 3-Year-Old Program Informational Meeting

    Galena Park I.S.D. offers a limited enrollment Pre-K 3-Year-Old Program for eligible students. Parents interested in enrolling their students for this opportunity may attend a virtual meeting on Monday, April 26, 2021. The meeting will cover the online application process, student selection process and eligibility requirements.

  • Pre-K and Kindergarten Early Registration

    The Galena Park I.S.D. Student Admissions Department will begin early registration for all new kindergarten and eligible pre-kindergarten student for the 2021-2022 school year. You may register online or there will be registration support sites available on specific days.

    While Galena Park I.S.D. is still waiting for official guidance from the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the district would like to provide you with information regarding a remote learning option that may be available for students in the 2021-2022 school year.

    Galena Park I.S.D. is hosting a virtual teacher job fair utilizing Flipgrid from Saturday, April 10th through Friday, April 30th. Flipgrid is a creative platform for you to use with your mobile device or computer. We look forward to meeting you... virtually!

  • Galena Park I.S.D. State of the District Address

    In the Galena Park I.S.D. State of the District address, we are showcasing how we are accomplishing our mission to prepare students to become productive citizens and lifelong learners.   • CDC Researchers Find Little Evidence of Major School Outbreaks

    Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) researchers on Tuesday said that there is "reassuring" evidence about a lack of widespread coronavirus transmission in schools, amid sometimes-intense debate over reopening. The researchers wrote in the Journal of the American Medical Association that there have been some reported cases of the virus in schools, but they have not been major drivers of transmission.

  • After-Hours Technical Support for Students/Parents

    Galena Park I.S.D., working with Precinct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia, has partnered with Harris County to provide additional after-hours technical support for students and parents. The Harris County Schools Digital Access Call Center will provide help Monday-Friday from 5pm-9pm and Saturday –Sunday 10am-2pm.

  • New Beginnings Support Group

    Galena Park I.S.D.'s Mental Health Intervention Team is offering a six-week New Beginnings Support Group for students, parents, or staff in need of a safe, supportive environment to share and cope with their feelings associated with the COVID-19 pandemic or any other life stressors. Participation in the group is free of charge and open to GPISD students, parents, and staff.

  • Removal of Unauthorized/Disruptive Persons

    As of August 26, 2018 all school districts are subject to the Commissioner’s new rules regarding the removal of a disruptive person from a campus. More information regarding this new rule can be found in Chapter 37, section 37.105 of the Texas Education Code, which addresses: Unauthorized Persons, Refusal of Entry, Ejection, and Identification.

    Galena Park ISD regularly provides mass notifications to parents, guardians, students, and faculty regarding weather closures, threat situations, event scheduling, or to provide other important education-related information. These messages not only drive positive educational outcomes, they can also save lives.
