    Galena Park I.S.D. continues to follow the guidance and recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Harris County Public Health Department and Harris County Office of Emergency Management concerning the recent news of the novel (new) coronavirus disease.   • Educational Resources/Learning Opportunities

    Galena Park I.S.D. is committed to providing Educational Resources and Learning Opportunities to students for the duration of this closure period. In order to ensure ALL students have equal access to the resources, we have an online option, as well as paper packets for students who do not have an electronic device or internet access readily available at home. NOTE: The registration link for the paper packet will be active every Tuesday at noon to 11:59 p.m. on the following Sunday. You ONLY have to register once for a paper packet. Please find the directions for accessing the material here.

  • GPISD Technical Support

    The GPISD Technology Department will provide support to students Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The Technical Support offered is to assist students with accessing District resources; the support is not provided as technical support for personal hardware.   • CTE Early College High School Enrollment Application

    The Galena Park I.S.D. CTE Early College High School is accepting applications for students interested in enrolling for the 2020-2021 school year. Remember students must reside in the Galena Park I.S.D. boundaries and not be a current transfer from another district. Please email jhutchinson@galenaparkisd.com for more information.

  • What is the 2020 Census?

    The 2020 Census counts every person living in the 50 states, District of Columbia, and five U.S. territories. The count is mandated by the Constitution and conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, a nonpartisan government agency. A complete and accurate count is critical for you and our community because the results of the 2020 Census will affect community funding, congressional representation, and more!     On Monday, March 2, 2020, the Galena Park I. S. D. Board of Trustees unanimously approved the 2020-2021 School Calendar. The first day of school for students is August 17, 2020.

  • Removal of Unauthorized/Disruptive Persons

    As of August 26, 2018 all school districts are subject to the Commissioner’s new rules regarding the removal of a disruptive person from a campus. More information regarding this new rule can be found in Chapter 37, section 37.105 of the Texas Education Code, which addresses: Unauthorized Persons, Refusal of Entry, Ejection, and Identification.
