The Galena Park ISD Boys to Men initiative is designed to foster the growth and development of our male students, and to unite the young men on every campus into a brotherhood. The goals are to encourage scholarship, leadership, character, and service, as well as provide opportunities for decision making and for assuming responsibilities to promote greater understanding between youth and young adults. The desired outcome is to help prepare young men, at an early age, for the challenges that high school students and beyond encounter.
The Galena Park ISD Boys to Men initiative consists of an elementary, middle, and high school component. It aims to provide mentors for students, engage in the development of etiquette, goal setting, and career planning, along with reducing drop-out rate, number of suspensions, and unexcused absences. This initiative looks to help prepare students for successful entry into college or career path.
