Alumni Spotlight

Black History Month

  • Purpose: Honor and highlight the accomplishments, heritage, and leadership of Black students, alumni, staff, and community partners.
  • What you’ll find: curated alumni spotlights, student projects and performances, classroom resources for families, event calendars (panels, assemblies, art exhibits), and local community partner spotlights.

District Planning & Advisory Committee

  • Purpose: Provide a formal avenue for community input into district improvement planning and program priorities.
  • Membership & role: DPAC includes teachers, district staff, parents, community leaders, and business representatives who review data, advise on district goals, and recommend strategies.
  • How families can engage: meeting schedules and locations, public comment procedures, committee agendas and minutes, and opportunities to serve as parent or community representatives.
  • Impact: examples of DPAC‑informed initiatives (curriculum updates, family engagement strategies, facility priorities) and how community feedback shapes district decisions.

Education Foundation

  • Mission: Raise and direct private resources to enhance classroom programs, provide teacher grants, and fund student scholarships.
  • What families see: funded classroom projects, scholarship recipients, teacher professional development supported by the Foundation, and measurable impacts on student learning.
  • How to help: donation options, corporate partnership opportunities, volunteer roles for fundraising events, and transparency reports showing grant distribution.

Hispanic Heritage Month

Senior Gold Card
