The GPISD Department of Communication Services is dedicated to sharing the outstanding work of our students, teachers, and administrators with the community at large. On a daily basis, the department strives to leverage all available media avenues to showcase stories of successes, accomplishments, photos, and timely announcements. Evidence of the District's commitment to academic excellence, student growth, and overall well-being is shared across the District's Facebook page, website, X, Instagram, and local community newspapers. Additionally, the Department of Communication Services consistently works to identify outstanding educators and solicit nominations for well-deserved recognition and accolades.

Media Relations Guidelines For GPISD Employees

If a media representative contacts you, please notify your supervisor immediately. Your supervisor will provide the media representative with the following direction:
                          "Please contact the Department of Communication Services at 832-386-1063."

Your supervisor will document the following information and forward it to our department:

• Contact person's name
• Name of media company
• Reason for the call
• Time of the call
• Phone number
